Conquer Paralysis Now (CPN) was founded in 2000 with a commitment to find a cure for paralysis and help give independence to individuals living with neurological conditions. We are a leading authority on spinal cord injury (SCI) research and treatment. We work every day towards one goal: Finding a cure for paralysis.
Founded by Sam Schmidt, the original mission of CPN was to fund research and provide advocacy and programming for SCI patients and their families. Though the foundation achieved many successes over the next decade, the ultimate goal remained elusive: a cure.

About This Gala.
The 2025 “Racing to Recovery Gala” is May 23rd LIVE in Indianapolis and Las Vegas. Special guests, VIP packages, incredible auctions, and much more… all to support the life changing work of Conquer Paralysis Now and their DRIVEN NeuroRecovery Centers. This year’s gala will host hundreds in person in Indianapolis, Las Vegas, and virtually online across the country on May 23rd.
